Sparrow Dance Company is a non profit modern dance company located in Astoria Oregon since 2019. Our mission is to enrich our community through cultural dance performance and education, while supporting local charitable groups. We achieve our mission through quality performances and workshops that cross boundaries of age, culture and ideologies.

Meet UsWe're the Company
behind the dancing. We make the magic happen. Our company is comprised of dancers from all walks of life and dance back-grounds. From mothers, to bookkeepers, craft artisans, and legal assistants our company unites our skills of dance, creativity and business entrepreneurship to serve our community.

ArtStage Performances
The Company creates and performs modern dance works for their own full length stage productions, using original choreographic works and collaborating with guest artists. They also get invited to perform as part of larger community art productions and projects.

growthEducational Outreach
You will often find the Company working with preschool and school age children teaching and performing at library programs, their annual free creative movement workshops, or community preschools and daycares.

GivingCommunity Charitable Events
Giving back through free dance art and workshops creates positive changes in our community. Dancers Unite is the Company's annual charitable dance concert event. Local dance artists and studios perform united in a dance performance where ticket sales benefit a local charitable organization.
